With all the recent media attention and public interest in Astronomy, we decided to search for some interesting and colourful Wallpapers to spice up your Desktop screens. So we think you will love the work of the talented German born Graphic Artist Jeff Michelmann (Gucken) who we are featuring today.

Jeff has a vast gallery of digitally rendered “Space Themed” wallpaper pictures, from which we have selected our favourite 10. These complex and beautiful images can take many hours to create using special scenery rendering software, such as Adobe Photoshop CS5 and Terragen 0.81. My favourite is the Wallpaper titled “The Hot Heat of Love”, because the picture gives the appearance of the boulders having that extra third dimension.
